Hi, my names Tash Wells. I am originally from South Africa but currently residing in London. I am doing my MA degree in Luxury Brand Management. I am one of the new event and marketing interns for Wimbletech CIC and I am based at TheWorkary Chelsea and TheWorkary Brompton as the new Events Intern and Community Manager. I have a passion for health and wellness and I am one serious coffee lover.
Our Internship started roughly a month ago, and it has been a bit of a whirlwind getting to know our various sites and the project. We started off the first two weeks getting to know the team and what the project was all about, which was all incredible. It has been so great learning more about how Wimbletech has been supporting public libraries by transforming the under-utilised spaces into affordable work and life spaces. Especially hearing about all the new sites that are in the process. Our past two weeks have been about putting our new ideas and thoughts into practice. We have attended Byte sessions and learnt more about the members in our various sites. Personally, I find it fascinating having so many different businesses and entrepreneurs all under one roof – it is incredible what you are able to learn about different fields.
I think one of the things I most enjoyed has been getting to know the members as well as upgrading the new desks into some of the sites. This has been great fun to do with the other interns, as well as it was an opportunity to interact with members who were kind enough to help. I am extremely excited to see what the next coming months are to bring, and I look forward to being a part of the Wimbletech CIC project as it grows not only in the UK but internationally.
